Description

The HDMI to Dual 3G-SDI Scaler Converter is a broadcast-grade interface converter engineered for demanding live production, staging, and Pro AV environments.

Driven by an advanced FPGA video processing engine with integrated hardware Scaler technology, it takes a single HDMI input signal and converts it into 2 identical, scaled 3G/HD/SD-SDI outputs.

Featuring 9 selectable output resolution presets (up to 1080p@60Hz), operators can easily match different downstream display devices or broadcast systems on-site. Additionally, it features a 6.35mm (1/4") audio jack supporting both balanced and unbalanced analog audio embedding, allowing audio from external mixers or soundboards to be seamlessly integrated into the SDI video stream.

With built-in cable equalization, SDI re-clocking, and USB Type-C firmware update capabilities, this device delivers high flexibility, signal integrity, and 24/7 continuous operation.

Product Interface

Video input: HDMI * 1

Video output: SDI * 2

Audio input: 6.35MM*2

Power input: DC 12V 1A

Key Features

  • HDMI to Dual Scaled SDI Output: Converts 1 HDMI input into 2 scaled 3G/HD/SD-SDI outputs simultaneously.
  • FPGA Video Processing Engine & Scaler: Hardware-based scaling with 9 selectable resolution presets (up to 1080p60) to fit mixed-resolution broadcast setups.
  • Balanced & Unbalanced Audio Embedding: Equipped with a 6.35mm (1/4") TRS audio jack to embed external balanced or unbalanced analog audio directly into the SDI stream.
  • Ultra-Long Distance Transmission: Integrated SDI re-clocking and HDMI/SDI cable equalization ensure stable video transmission up to 100 meters (328 ft).
  • Broadcast-Standard Compliance: Compliant with SMPTE 259M, 292M, 297M, 305M, and 424M standards, with low jitter (≤0.2UI) and RGB 4:4:4 / YUV 4:2:2 support.
  • USB Type-C Upgrade Port: Features a built-in Type-C interface for seamless firmware updates and maintenance.
  • Plug & Play / Wide Power Range: Pure hardware architecture (driver-free), hot-swappable, supporting 5V–12V wide voltage power supply and centralized chassis mounting.

Target Applications

  • Designed to bridge consumer/Pro-sumer HDMI sources with professional broadcast and live audio/video environments:
  • Broadcast & Live Production: Live TV broadcasting, newsrooms, NLE suites, and OB vans.
  • Live Events & Staging: Concerts, stage performances, multimedia display systems, and AV entertainment centers.
  • Enterprise & Education: Video conferencing, audio mixer integration, medical teaching/demonstration, sports venues, and security monitoring.
